What needs to be discussed when designing the structure of the top management level (C suite)

When designing the structure of the top management level (C suite) in any organization, the discussion should be mainly focused on what strategic levers are needed to be visible and constantly pulled at the top level to steer the company in right direction. Everything that doesn't deserve constant attention from the CEO and few other execs at least should be considered as a candidate to be allocated somewhere lower in the hierarchy, thus decreasing the decision making burden of the CEO.
